The Trip to the Theater

The Tye Dye 5K

This day I ran a 5K that was called Tye-Dye and we are just stretching before the race.

This picture is my second lap of the course. We had to run the course 3 times.

This is my 3rd time around.

I am finishing my third lap. It was hot and it was hard.

They were giving out funny hats.

Toads, Toads, Everywhere, A Lizard, and A Snake

I am building a little cave for my toad named Rainbow, because it had 10 different colors -- I'm serious!!

Brandon caught this toad, but he gave it to me because I had a bigger love of toads than he does, and because I can take care of toads better. You can see my toad in the hole I dug if you really look carefully. The cave is the bedroom for the toad. The rest is the living room. We also saw a snake that slithered up the driveway today. We think it was a blue racer. Tyler carried it to the woods with a stick. It was not a poisonous snake. Tyler also caught a lizard in the woods. It was over 5 inches long. It was blue, yellow, gray, brown and black.

My Summer To Do List

1. Clean one hour every day (my Mom's idea, not mine)
2. Swim every day (when we get the pool ready)
3. Read lots of books (also my Mom's idea, although I love to read)
4. Run 4 miles without stopping (I also want to train for a 10K)
5. Go to running camp (it will be so much fun)
6. Go to Camp Moriah (the best week of the year)
7. Run lots of 5K races (I love to run)
8. Play video games 30 minutes each day (I would play longer if Mom would let me)
9. Eat out (Awesome!)
10. Play outside (every day)
11. Play at our playground (it is great)
12. Play baseball (with my cousins)
13. Play soccer (with my cousins and my Mom)
14. The Best of All -- No Schoolwork Until Fall
15. I am going to practice on the piano once every day.

Fun with Legos

I made cool Star Wars ships with Legos -- one ship that was two feet long, one that was a restaurant, and this one. I love to build things using my imagination.

I have snakes in my Lego sets and they are cool.

I have spiders and ants too.

The Story of the Jungle

We went to the woods and found a big place we could play in. It was fun because there was a big tree there and you could cross it because it fell down. When you reach the end there is a little stream. When you get off the tree in the middle, there is a little place we call the elves' passageway. When you get back on you have to have very good balance. It is fun even though there are thorns everywhere. It is like we are in the jungle.

My Family

I am nine years old and I have an eleven year old sister. I have a lot of Legos. My sister has a cat named Lily, she is a devil. My mom works at a drugstore. My dad works at Cooper Tire. Every Christmas Eve we have a family night. My dad works so hard.
